MY NEW IDEA!

so while kaa and nix were fighting I was reading some old norse poems I have. I found the Rangarok one. I read a little of the poem and looked up somethings online and this is what I found out:
1: the date that ragnarok was thought to happen was March, 22. Thats pretty close. so i was thinking y not start a quest that day based on the actaual poem. I think the charcters in it should be based on the gods. So Thor died on this day so his son/daughter should be in the quest. Also that the prochey should be based on the poem. Heres a translated version i have.

It sates itself on the life-blood
of fated men,
paints red the powers' homes
with crimson gore.
Black become the sun's beams
in the summers that follow,
weathers all treacherous.
Do you still seek to know? And what?

Brothers will fight
and kill each other,
sisters' children
will defile kinship.

Also i was thinking that i could edit this a bit to make it sound nicer and that the monsters in it should be monsters from the poem. My monster ideas were:
1.Fenrir
2.Jötunn Hrym

Hmm The idea has a good tie in with the quest. But there is one problem.

I see what you're thinking about turning it into a Quest and stuff like that. But really with an event like Ragnorak, down-grading it to a simple quest doesn't do it justice. Plus Quests take a long time and it would just run through March 22 and still not be done.

okay. why don't you have a representative(s) of each of the gods on the quest - their kids (duh) and send them off on this quest to save the world or whatever. only they get split up early on and tricked - probably by Loki - into thinking that each 'team' is in the right and the others are in the wrong and they're all turned against each other. and on this quest they were supposed to be saving the world, but they come to the brink of destroying in instead but something happens to put all wrongs to rights.. and in the end they really do save the world like they set out to do. that's my random 2 cents!

Well we dont have to down grade it to a SIMPLE quest. I was thinking more a complex quest that starts soon and ends on March 22 in this fourms time not in a real life time. Also it should invovle alot of people but not be turned into an all out war. But it could be a nice factor were us the battleground area we has as the batlefield for this all. We just need to have like a fourm holiday were we have alot of people on to do this

What i get from ur idea is that there is lets say like 10 reps. Half is from the Aesir and the others from the Vanir and thats how we split them off.

Hm Well I see what your saying but picture the two option's here.

A: We make it a Giant Site-Plot with a core group of demigods who are trying to stop Loki, while everyone else has the all mighty fun and pleasure of fighting a massive army.

B: A Complex Quest that will still end up ending after March 22 forum time and real life time.

i think we should have it be more diverse, at least half of the gods represented... but they get split up and turned against each other.

Hmmm Dylan i want to go with the first one but there goal is to not stop Loki, but one of the monsters i suggested. Then after thats destroyed, everyone in the plot goes to kill Loki.

Still Basically Stop Loki. Just throwing a monster in the mix.

IDEA! Yggdrasil - the tree of life in norse mythology - is dying. and it's like... essential to the survival of all living things.. so they go to save the tree but Loki does everything in his power to stop them

ok heres my idea. We make Ragnarok its own little fourm. The first post is for that core group who take on Fenrir or Hyrm and the other is for the battle were everyone joins. Then after that core group kills Fenrir or Hyrm gets killed then that core group goes into the normal battle and kills Loki which ends this nice little topic.

If you don't know,
Fimbulvetr is the harsh winter that precedes the end of the world and puts an end to all life on Earth. Fimbulwinter is three successive winters where snow comes in from all directions, without any intervening summer. During this time, there will be innumerable wars and ties of blood will no longer be respected: the next-of-kin will lay together and brothers will kill brothers.
So i was thinking becuase it is a time were brothers kill brothers, Why not have all the fueds in camp such as the battle with Kay and Blazer and other demigod real fights in this.Also, Fimbulvetr is the immediate prelude to the events of Ragnarök. So, we can do this before we do the Ragnarok stuff.
