The Courtyard

Subject: The Courtyard Sun Feb 26, 2012 4:58 pm

I walked in, slowly, and looking around. No one seemed to be here yet. Snow followed me, hopping at my heels. I sat down, on the ground. Snow hopped on to my lap. I smiled, lightly, and held my palm up. A single icicle appeared in my hand.

Sam walked into the Courtyard and instatly saw his curse. A girl and her snow hare were sitting on the ground an above them were those damned numbers. The numbers that signify how long they have to live. The numbers that haunt Sam. Instantly he remembered how badly the stench of death rolled off his body and he was regretting walking into the Courtyard more and more.

BIC: Cassandra looked up to see a boy. She looked up to see if something was above her. There was nothing. She tossed her icicle up and caught it in her other hand. Cassie looked at the boy, curiously, with a confused expression.

Sam froze a bit as he saw her spot him. "Well too lateto run now..."He muttered sadly and then walked up to the girl. "Hi." He said to her.

Cassie smiled, and gave the icicle to Snow, her bunny. "Hello." She said, "is something wrong?" Cassie asked, she had noticed his expression from earlier. Cassandra removed Snow from her lap, and stood up.

"Uhmm.."Sam said wondering if she would understand about his curse...or how long it would take her to notice that gods aweful stench of decomposing corpses that resonated from his being. "Nothing."Sam said.

Cassandra frowned, she looked down. She was partly surprised someone had decided to talk to her. Most of the time people avoided her. When she looked up, it was then she noticed a funny smell. Cassie wrinkled her nose, a little, but tried to ignore it. "Oh.."

"Would you be surprised if I told you I was a son of Hel?"Sam asked randomly figureing she wouldn't be surprised. People who knew anything about Norse mythology usually figure it out without having to think to hard.

Cassandra sighed, "actually no." She said. "I know almost nothing.." Cassie said softly, feeling slightly embarrassed. "Why?" She asked, curiousity burning in her voice.

"That stench you smell is death. And I can see a number above your head that tells me.......how long you have left to live.."Sam said lowering his voice for the rest of the sentece. It's what usually scares people awa is talking about the number.

Cassandra smiled, "Oh, well its what you would expect right?" She asked. "Death shouldn't smell good.." Cassie said. Snow hopped away, with the icicle in her mouth. "As long as I don't see the numbers, I'm fine."

Cassie shook her head, "nope!" She said happily. "I've met scarier." She added, and winced, in memories.

Sam smiled for the first time in a long time. He couldn't remember the last time he had found someone who wasn't scared of his curse or drove off by that gods aweful stench that he has no control over. "So how long you been in camp?"Sam asked her.

Cassandra smiled. "A day.. Not even." She frowned, "There hasn't been anything to do.. So I just wander around." She continued.

"Oh well are you getting hungry cause I was about to head to the mess hall and grabbed a bite to eat."Sam asked her.

Cassandra nodded her head, "I was heading there myself, as well!" She said happily. [i]I'll get Snow later..[\i] She thought to herself, then smiled.

"Great let's go."Sam said with a smile leading the way. "The name is Sam by the way. Sam Carter."He said after stopping for a second realizeing that he hadn't said that.

Kai walks in with a sigh, her hands shoved deep into her pockets. She still has no idea where she is, and she's starting to get severely irritated. She looks around for somebody who might be able to help her, but the area seems to be deserted.
Upon further inspection, it looks like a courtyard. "Where the heck could I be that requires a courtyard?" she ponders aloud.

Kai sees somebody walks in and walks over to them. "Um, excuse me?" she asks. "Could you tell me where I am? My dad just left me here, outside, and I'm kind of confused..."
She bites her lip and looks at the girl, her hands kind of fidgeting behind her back.

Kai sighs exasperatedly and clenches her teeth. "I mean, where am I as a whole? What the heck even is Camp Norse? My dad didn't explain to me."

Keith looked up and saw a girl walking into the Courtyard with a black cat on her shoulder. He didn't say anything to her but he watched her wondering who she was.
