Pratice fighting

Ivana saw this, and immediately caused a shield of hard, unbreakable ice, on where he was going to hit her, as she wasn't able to react fast enough to block with her sword.

John felt his blade pang off the ice and he cartwheeled away from her. He stood and turned back to her. "My turn." He said with a smirk and then shot out three fireballs at her.

Ivana's eyes widened, as she immediately made a shield, trying to block the fire. She knew the fireballs wouldn't go through the ice, but just melt it. She was tiring, from using so much of her powers.

"You're getting tired, Ivana. Anyone can see that. You sure you want to go on with the powers included?" He asked her, his fingertip starting to heat up incase she chose the latter.

Ivana snarled by this, regaining her enthusiasm by what he just said. She quickly got out the knife that she always kept in her boot and threw it into his direction, and then she charged swinging her sword.

John shifted to his side and avoided the thrown knife. He locks blades with her's and holds it there glareing into her eyes. "You're studying me aren't you?" He asked ehr, feeling that she was holding back for some reason. His fingertip continued to heat up.

"What?" Ivana pretended to be momentarily surprised and on purpose loosened her grip on the sword. If he noticed this reaction, he'd be able to win by just simply knocking the sword away from her hand and checkmate. She was somewhat studying him in a matter to report to Father.

John wasn't so easily fooled. He did, in fact, disarm her but he had already charged the heat in his finger tip. So before he lost control of it, he turned uickly and shot the bolt of heat lighting at a dummy standing on the other side of the arena. He stood up and turned back to her, his finger smoking from the power he just displayed. He smirked at her and then leaned down and picked up her sword.

"And that would have happened if I were the enemy and had no powers," Ivana observed out loud, knowing this was a pointless comment since both of them knew this was true and thinking it.

John shook his head saying no. "That would have happened, no matter what. So long as I can place a decisive shot." He said to her.

John's grip tightened around his sword, but he smiled back at her. 'She's hiding something from me. She's got a guilty look in her eye's that she is trying to bury.' He thought to himself as he relaxed his grip some and stared at her. He raised his blade and rested it on his shoulder. "Shall we continue?" He asked her.

Ivana noticed the tight grip, as he became a bit more tense. "How about we go practice..something like archery?" She suggested. She wasn't the best at it, and often her arrows would go stray.

John sighed and sheathed his sword. "Nevermind..." He said to her and turned starting to walk away. 'Why would she feel lik she had to hide something from me? It-It doesn't make since...' he thought as he started to walk away.

Ivana decided best would be, that she should also leave too, as she tucked a loose strand on her face behind her ear, keeping her silence now.

John stoped and sighed turning his head back to her. He stared at her out the corner of his eye and said plainly, "I don't want any excuse, I don't want you to brush the question aside, I just want to know the truth. What has you struck with such a guilty look that you have to hide it from me?" He didn't want to hear a lie. He couldn't stand dealing with a lie. Not from Ivana.

"It's nothing, trust me," Ivana assured him, her face expressionless. Only her icy blue eyes glittered with frostiness, as she kicked a rock.

John scoffed at her answer, because it wasn't what he wanted to hear. He just sighed though, knowing that if he tried any harder he would just push her away from him. So instead of pushing her he just walked away. "Ok then." He said to her and then left.....hoping she would follow and tell him the truth. A very dim hope.

Ivana blinked, feeling quite hurt, as she started to become slightly shaky. She tentatively took a step forward where he was heading, but instead went the other direction, head lowered.

"ok that sound umm, good. I think. And I'm Shane" He said hesitantly. He slowly pulled out his dagger. he turned to Flack "You might want to stand aside for this, umm it might get a bit scary" he said, but Flake was determined to stay.

Rikku summons her bloodhound to chase his parakeet. Rikku puts on her clws and says "your move Shane, now lets see what you got."

"Owch" he said as he places his hand on his cut to stop it from bleeding. "Hmm, its only a scratch." he said smirking. He runs again, this time slashing at her arm.

Rikku gets mad that he slashed her arm, and starts to walk back smirking and, Rikku screams and send 2 Fire balls directly at Shane. Rikku falls to the ground feeling light headed.

Shane doesn't have time to react. He jumps to the left but gets hit in the leg twice by her fireballs. "GAH" he shouts as he falls over, grabbing his leg.

Rikku gets up takes and walks over to Shane and says, "oohh, im sorry i didn't mean to hit you that hard, that's a wicked burn on your leg, lets go to the Infirmary and get that checked."

"Ouch, its ok" Shane says as he stands up slowly. He starts to limp towards the infirmary when he stops and remembers. "Is Flake alright?"

Rikku tells him "yeah he's fine." She calls out for Cheerio and cheerio comes running to her. And the parakeet fly's and lands on Shane's arm.
